Spirituality Book Groups

2012 Spirituality Book Group Series

The Spirituality Book groups are a spinoff of last year’s James Martin Book Group. Every two months we will offer a new book on a topic in spirituality or faith. You can participate in as many of the books as you would like and can choose to meet at St. Peter or be grouped geographically for easy off-site meetings. For each book there will also be one large Sunday morning session to gather all the participating groups for discussion. Those dates are listed below.

This year’s books include:

January/February: Tattoos on the Heath, by Greg Boyle, S.J.
All groups are invited to gather at the February 5 Adult Sunday School for discussion and to hear a speaker from the Council of Children's Rights concerning what our children face in Charlotte.

March/April: Between Heaven and Mirth, by James Martin, S.J.
All groups are invited to gather at the May 6 Adult Sunday School for a concluding discussion of James Martin's newest book.

May/June: 10 Popes Who Shook the World, by Eamon Duffy
All groups are invited to gather at the June 17 Adult Sunday School for a concluding discussion of this interesting topic in Catholic history.
