Hope and Consolation
Mission Statement
"We believe that everyone has on them the imprint of the divine. It is our intent to be the advocate of those that feel the frustration of chronic poor health, the pain of terminal illness and the emptiness of loss. It is our purpose to listen with our heart, to be compassionate, to offer practical help, to aid in lessening the anguish of bereavement and to assist with the healing process. Our goal is to join others through life's journey, sharing with those in need as an expression of comforting the sick and the sorrowful, one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit."
The Hope and Consolation committee meets occasionally and primarily to plan the parish Mass of Remembrance in November. This is our only specific activity at this time.
Members of the committee write notes and phone those bereaved in the parish and are available to assist with anyone in need through the grieving process.
