William F. Rainey, Jr. is currently Music Director/Organist and oversees the choral, instrumental, and handbell programs at St. Peter’s. The adult choir rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:15am and sings at the 11:30am Sunday Mass.
Mr. Rainey has studied at Converse College, the N.C. School of the Arts, the University of Michigan, St. Olaf College, and the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna, Austria. His teachers include John Mueller, Anton Heiller, Paul Manz, and Robert Shaw.

ST. PETER’S CHILDREN’S CHOIR
The St. Peter’s Children’s Choir shared the anthem “The Beginning of Love” with the congregation on Sunday, October 18th. The text “Let us always greet each other with a smile,” conveyed how sharing the gift of kindness is the beginning of God’s Love. The choir will sing again at the Family Christmas Eve Mass. St. Peter’s invites children to join the Children’s Choir Ministry.
WHAT: Children will experience vocally appropriate sacred music, proper singing techniques, and have the opportunity to be part of the Liturgy approximately four times throughout the year.
WHY: To enhance the worship experience for children through the joy of music.
WHO: Children with a desire to sing! (The minimum age is four years old.) No prior music experience is required to join.
WHEN: Sundays, 10:00-10:30 a.m. in the Ignatius Center
