Mission Statement
 
Developing faith, fellowship, and community among the young adults of St. Peter’s Church.
 
General Description
 
The St. Peter’s Young Adults ministry is focused on developing the faith, fellowship and community among the young adults of the parish. The ministry is open to all young adults in their 20's and 30's. There are three main focus areas of the group: 
 
  • Spiritual – Focusing on developing one’s spiritual being through self reflection, fellowship and prayer.
  • Community – Utilize our time, talent and treasure to share with others in and around St. Peter’s.
  • Social – Focusing on developing strong bonds of friendship and community.
  • Theology on Tap – A dynamic speaker series designed to present and discuss topics meaningful to young adults.
  • Athletics – Working together as a team to reach a common goal while staying in shape!

Emergency Winter Shelter

We will be assisting the staff at the Emergency Winter Shelter located on Statesville, with the distribution of food, blankets, and towels to the homeless guests of the shelter.

Please consider joining us to hlep out with this important ministry.  We are called by our Lord to assist those less fortunate and the EWS was created to help provide shelter, a hot meal, and a shower for the homeless members of our Charlotte community.

Please RSVP to Kirsten at kirsten.abm@gmail.com so we know how many people we have assisting with this project.  We have room for 1 or 2 more people.  Sign up now!

Sunday, June 27th

7:00 PM Pops in the Park

What's one of the best things about summer in Charlotte?  Pops in the Park!  Come join us at SouthPark Mall to hear the Charlotte Symphony play some great classics by Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Strauss, and Sousa!

Saturday, July 17th

7:00 AM - Noon Habitat for Humanity

Come out and join us for a fun morning as we help out with Habitat for Humanity.  This is always a really fun and rewarding event!  Given the summer heat, the sitework starts at 7:00 AM but ends by Noon. 

They are looking for 15-20 people to assist and I'm asking you to RSVP to Kirsten at kirsten.abm@gmail.com as soon as possible, showing our support for Habitat!  More information will follow for those that RSVP!
