We are a group of 20-and 30-somethings growing in Christ with our Jesuit parish in Charlotte’s Center City through
spiritual, service, and social events. The ministry is open to all young adults in their 20’s and 30’s.
20s & 30s Ministry Chair: Abbey Kinnaman

Join us Sunday, May 2nd for 5 PM Mass at St Peter, followed by drinks and fellowship at Birdsong Brewery. We will have rows reserved for the 20s and 30s to sit together, and will meet afterwards at Birdsong Brewery on North Davidson St to catch up with other 20s and 30s. Don’t forget to bring a mask, and we look forward to seeing everyone then!
APPLY TO CLA!
Contemplative Leaders in Action (CLA) is forming a new cohort in Charlotte for 2021-2023! CLA is an Ignatian spirituality and leadership program for young adults (24 to 39). Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, it offers a welcoming, inclusive community experience for participants to deepen their spiritual lives, grow as inspired leaders in service to the world, and practice discernment. Learn more and complete your application here, and the deadline is May 15th.
We are excited to kick off Coffee Connections, an opportunity to connect with other members of the group for a cup of coffee, a cold beer, or a Zoom video chat! With all of the challenges that COVID has thrown our way, community and new friendships are more important than ever - and we would love to provide the opportunity to create these small connections for our members!
If you are interested, please fill out this survey, and depending on your responses provided, we will be creating groups of 3 - 4 people to get together for informal gatherings during the time of day that works best for you! This time can be used for anything you'd like - general conversation, prayer requests, games, or discussing stressors that have come out of all of the COVID craziness. We hope you will sign up, and can’t wait to get this started!
20s & 30s BOOK CLUB
Calling all bookworms! This year we are continuing our 20's & 30's Book Club and we need your help! As some of you know, last year we started a book club in an effort to educate ourselves more on racial justice, in light of the Black Lives Matter movement. Since there was a fair amount of participation/interest, we have decided to continue it into the new year! This year we plan on expanding the club to include all genres of literature, in addition to those focused on racial justice. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this survey so we can gage interest!
While we cannot gather as we normally would during this time, we wanted to share an update from the Core Team to help you get to know us better! We hope you enjoy hearing from us and we look forward to gathering together again soon! Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone, and we hope you and your families are staying well.
