Kennedy Lecture

  • Date: Saturday, January 25, 2020
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 11:15 AM
  • Description: Thomas Massaro, S.J., is Professor of Moral Theology at Fordham University. Father Massaro holds a doctorate in Christian social ethics from Emory University.
He will speak on "Caring for our Common Home: Pope Francis' Call for an Integral Ecology."

Fr. Massaro says, "When Pope Francis advocates for an integral ecology, he is urging us to 'get all our relationships right.' He is of course urgently advocating for greater attention to the earth, but genuine sustainability depends upon forging perfect justice with our neighbors and a deeper friendship with God. Integral ecology is a holistic vision of a universe transformed by an all-embracing love and care for all of God's creation."
