High School Youth Group

“The culture of encounter is a call inviting us to dare to keep alive a shared dream."
"Yes, a great dream, a dream that has a place for everyone. The dream for which Jesus gave his life on the cross, for which the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost and brought fire to the heart of every man and woman, in your hearts and mine, in the hope of finding room to grow and flourish." - Pope Francis

High School Youth Group

The culture of encounter—a call to community, a call to service and a call to lovecan set any heart on fire for Christ. Our inspiration for “Ignite,” the High School Youth Group is rooted in Ignatian Spirituality.

Our responses and actions at St. Peter are guided by four apostolic preferences set forth by the Jesuits:

  1. Showing the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment.
  2. Walking with the poor, the outcasts of the world, those whose dignity has been violated, in a mission of reconciliation and justice.
  3. Accompanying young people in the creation of a hope-filled future.
  4. Collaborating in the care of our common home.

We meet on selected Sundays from 6:00-7:30 pm (following the 5:00 pm mass), and for other events. Event dates are posted to Instagram and emailed to the group. Our group is open to all high school teens. (Being confirmed or being Catholic is not a requirement.)
