This prayer allows a growing awareness of God's movement in your daily life.
Ignatian Examen workshop is a 4-week small group zoom program that explores Ignatius’ prayer of awareness of God’s movement in our daily lives — a practice that leads to a deeper relationship with God. This retreat is appropriate for those who have not prayed the Examen as well as those who would like to have a richer understanding of the prayer. Using Thibodeaux book, Reimagining the Examen, 15 -30 minutes of individual daily prayer and journaling supported by weekly group zoom gatherings where Ignatian Team members will lead guided group examen prayers, followed by 30-40 minutes of prayerful sharing (Holy Listening).
One of the greatest mystics of all time and founder of the Jesuits, St. Ignatius of Loyola, called the Examen prayer the most important quarter of an hour of a person’s day. The 500-year-old daily practice of honest self-assessment and reflection is a founding principle of Ignatian spirituality. When practiced regularly the Examen promises to connect our consciousness to the divine presence that is with us at all times and in all things and clarifies our response to it.
